Content Writer

We’re seeking a sharp-minded, detail-focused, and highly accountable communicator with a minimum of at least 3 years of relevant experience to join the goBRANDgo! team. If you’re a thinker, an idea-generator, and a wordsmith, please continue reading. We like to refer to our content writers as the “bridge between strategy and creative” because of how critical their role is to goBRANDgo! and the success of our clients.

goBRANDgo! produces and distributes a wide variety of content, including technical writing, blog posts, press releases, social media content, white papers, datasheets, email newsletters, brand content, PowerPoint presentations, web content, and more for our clients focused in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. You excel at a tactical level, in the execution of web copy, brochures, etc.

You can also operate on a conceptual level, in the collaboration and ideation of campaign concepts and brand strategies, as well as the tactical level, in the execution of web copy, brochures, etc. You can communicate effectively and professionally with clients, with your teammates, and with an audience. You have flawless grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.

Expectations

  • Translate marketing strategies into tangible creative
  • Research and craft compelling long-form and short-form copy
  • Work in print, online, and multimedia formats
  • Write for clients in a variety of industries with varying voice and tone
  • Manage multiple assignments within deadlines while maintaining consistent quality
  • Meet the creative standards of the agency
  • Respect the budget and scope of projects
  • Shepherd client feedback and regulatory comments through creative
  • Be an expert on the subject matter and audiences within your portfolio of brands
  • Collaborate with strategists, art directors, and digital experts to create solutions that meet client objectives
  • Guide conversations with internal teams and clients through active questioning with care
  • Lead stakeholders and client customers interviews, capture notes, and summarize key ideas
  • Maintain current knowledge of trending B2B marketing and content activities, best practices, and events (i.e., approaches, popular executions, seminars, workshops, etc.)
  • Awareness of B2B lead generation best practices and technology
  • Experience/willing to learn search engine optimization (SEO) and/or search engine marketing (SEM) fields (on-site, local and link-building)

Qualifications

  • Curious and eager to learn highly specialized and technical areas of manufacturing 
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and organized
  • 3 years minimum writing experience
  • Bachelors in communication or related field of study
  • Ability to work independently
  • Aptitude for quickly building an understanding of complex technical concepts
  • Motivated, self-starting, and eager to learn
  • Logical grasp of both B2C and B2B marketing best practices
  • Proficient with Google Suite, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat 

Responsibilities

  • Develop core website, product page, and landing page copy
  • Develop blog posts, news articles, case studies, white papers, and ebooks
  • Conduct interviews to develop case studies and get information and insight from subject matter experts 
  • Create social media posts in collaboration with designers
  • Create concepts, promotions, and campaign copy and headlines
  • Create, maintain and execute content calendars for a variety of clients
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Drive client aspirations to fruition with your knowledge of industry and digital trends
  • Working closely with the goBRANDgo! strategy team to drive strategy, interpreting reports to advise clients and help them make informed decisions

Travel Expectations

Minimal with the exception of industry conferences and possibly key client meetings/presentations. Likely less than four times per year.
