(Kid) Rockin' the Wins
Days, Weeks & years go by SOOOO fast. They always say that time flies when you’re having fun 🙂 I can’t believe we’re already half way through this year and I’m coming up on my 1 year anniversary with goBRANDgo! When I look back over the years, there are always milestones that stand out and they are usually big “Wins” that I feel lucky to have experienced. From canyoneering in Zion National Park and rappelling down waterfalls in Costa Rica to attending a Corona Light party at the Playboy Mansion… I’ve felt pretty lucky!
This weekend I was able to experience something new & exciting. Thanks to one of our clients, FitChix Fitness Studio, I was selected to dance on stage at the Kid Rock Concert on Saturday night. It was a BLAST and provided me with 2 new firsts: My first time dancing at a huge venue like Verizon & the first time I’ve ever worn shorts that short! After the show, Kid & the band invited us back to hang out with them for a couple hours. Kid, aka Bob Ritchie, was extremely nice & very appreciative of the fact that we were able to help out. We actually talked about how he had a similar Chi straightener and how he sometimes puts club soda on his hair to help avoid frizz. It was quite an entertaining evening.
What I think is the most important moral to the story is that when you keep a happy “winning” attitude, it’s easier to make connections with people, actually allowing you to accomplish more. 6 years ago I attended a couple classes at FitChix Fitness Studio > 2 weeks later they asked me to teach the classes > 5 years later Allison comes to my classes > Allison recommends us as dancers to her husband who works for live nation > her husband hooks us up with the gig > hung out with Kid & one of his managers > led to discussions backstage about how to market Kid’s “Baddass Beer” > ????
Always remember how your positive attitude can shape your future 🙂
