You Deserve Success: You Have Time To Blog
Here we are: the conclusion of the three-part series on why you need to make time to write your blog. We’ve already discussed that you matter and that you are the expert. The SEO benefits and the credibility that are created by blogging are invaluable to an entrepreneur in the computer age.
To close this out, I’d like to ask you a question.
Do you deserve success?
When you started your company/joined your team/worked toward your dreams, did you do it in hopes that you would fail? Did you do it so that you could spend long hours toiling over meaningless tasks with no reward?
Of course you didn’t. You work hard for a larger goal, and that hard work stems from an innate drive towards (and hope for) eventual success.
You Deserve Success.
Now, let me ask you another question. You know how—at night when you leave work and go home—the internet shuts down and nobody gets back on it until your office opens up the next day?
TRICK QUESTION! The internet never stops!
When your email is out of sight, when your phone is turned off, when your salesforce and staff have all stopped forcing and staffing, the internet keeps going. And it’s no secret. People are on the internet searching for answers to questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—holidays and weekends, too.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a representative promoting your brand and messaging when you can’t be there? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a sales team that was always on call, chomping at the bit to speak to the next potential customer, even at 3am on Sunday?
That’s your blog! Whatever you’re paying your hosting company is less than what you’re paying your sales staffers, yet your blog uncomplainingly carries out your brand promises when everyone can’t be there (and even when they can). Do you know why? It’s because your blog believes that You Deserve Success.
If you’re not writing blog posts, you’re not getting the SEO benefits. If you’re not writing posts, you’re not establishing your expertise. And if you’re don’t make time to write, you’re leaving money on the table and denying yourself success.
Sure, if you’re Sofie Target, Daniel Cocacola, or Timothy and Beth Emandem-Mars, then your brand has the momentum to carry you through the next few months if things get lean. But for each one of them, there are millions of James TechStartups, Belinda Nonprofits and Gwen Momandpops. Millions of you. James, Belinda and Gwen deserve success. They need to blog.
You Deserve Success.
